The First Letter
$29
If you do not come away with a letter you would actually send, email us at hello@writefirstletter.com within 14 days and we will refund you.
Your letter, what was left out of it and why, how your child might respond, and a plan for sending it. Yours to come back to.
- Your letter, about 130 to 200 words. Every fact in it comes from what you told us; nothing about your family is ever made up
- Every answer of yours that was left out, and why
- How your child might respond, if you want it: a careful guess at a reply, so the first hard one you read is not the real one
- The sending plan, and the ninety days after
- A full refund within 14 days if it is not a letter you would send
Plainly
- The questions are all free, and so are the three things parents in your situation most often get wrong, which you are shown along the way. It takes about five minutes, and almost all of it is taps. You pay only when you want the letter written.
- It is one payment. There is no renewal, no subscription and nothing to cancel.
- You do not need an account to pay. Stripe takes the payment and asks for your email address. We make your account from that address and email you a link, so you can sign in and come back to your letter later.
- The four questions that decide whether a letter is right are all asked before you pay, so if one of them applies you have paid nothing. If you have already paid and an answer you change means a letter is no longer right, what you paid comes back automatically. Where the only problem is that it is too soon, it is held as a credit for twelve months instead, so you never pay twice for waiting.
- If you do not come away with a letter you would actually send, email us at hello@writefirstletter.com within 14 days and we will refund you.
